Beware of little expenses; a small leak will sink a great ship.

Don't save what you don't spend, spend what you don't save.

Saving on a regular basis needs to be habitual if you are to achieve your goals. Whether you are saving to buy something specific like a holiday or new car, have the desire to become more financially independent or simply put away money to cover any unforeseen expenses, we can help you develop the habit in order to build those savings.

We’ll help you save towards…

Regular savings plans (RSP)

Basically you agree to aside a fixed monthly amount, generally anything from £10 per month upwards, and the money is invested into a range of funds over the medium to long term, usually any period between 10 and 25 years.

Some plans, if arranged with friendly societies, are tax exempt so you would have no tax to pay on maturity. For higher monthly investments or shorter time scales an alternative may be a regular premium ISA which would give you all the tax advantages without absolute commitment to a fixed term. It could be an extremely helpful way to ‘discipline’ yourself into saving regularly. Saving is generally a ‘habit’ that once adopted, remains with you throughout life. We can help you acquire this habit.

School fees planning

Traditionally, school fees planning preoccupied only those parents who wished, or had the means, to educate their children privately. University costs which were more relevant to the ‘masses’ remained surprisingly low down on the priority list for parents as the costs associated were deemed ‘manageable’ through either a combination of savings, loans, bursaries or students working in part time employment.

The recent rise in university fees, regardless of the arguments for and against how the loans will be paid back and whether this is better or worse for future generations, has put financial planning for a child’s education firmly back on the agenda.
